The Victoria Numismatic Society has been operating in Victoria, BC, since 1955. Meetings are held in the St Matthias Anglican Church Hall (upper floor), which is located on Richardson Street, where there is free parking. The church is located at 600 Richmond Avenue. Meetings are on the 2nd Friday of every month from 7.00 pm to 9.00 pm except in July and August. The VNS website is located at: http://victoriacoinclub.wordpress.com/ On the website, you can send questions to the club. Also, the membership form is available for downloading. If you are interested in learning more about the Victoria Numismatic Society, please come to a club meeting and check us out. Each meeting starts with members buying and selling coins, along with socializing. This is a good time to ask questions. Next is the formal part of the meeting, followed by a numismatic presentation. Frequently, this is a video. The last part of the meeting is the auction. NOTE: You do not need to be a member of The Victoria Numismatic Society to sell your coin collection at our monthly auctions. At club meetings, you can receive free advice regarding your collection, and we can suggest what reserve prices you might wish to put on your coins. The charge for non-members is a commission of 10% which is very reasonable. You can try selling a few of your coins in the club auction. Others have done that in the past. It is like testing the water before diving in!
