1984 Maxda Rx-7 GSL 2 door coupe 1.1 L, 12A Rotary 5 speed manual 218000 km Selling this as is. Will be available for viewings on Saturdays and Sundays, by appointment. Goods: -New clutch at 198,000 km, flywheel machined -Interior is in quite good shape -Original paint is still in fair condition -Garage kept and (also) well maintained by previous owner -Mostly summer driven -Stored under covered area (before 2017), stored inside garage (last 8 years) -Very regular oil changes -Premixed the fuel (0.5 oz per gallon) while I had it Engine and carburetor rebuilt at 200,000 km in 2017 (with the following): -Good condition used rotor housings -Mazda OEM apex, corner seals, and springs -Atkins “master” rebuild kit -New alternator, spark plugs/wires, distributor cap/rotor, ignition coils Work done since the rebuild: -Oil metering pump rebuilt (always worked, but was leaking) -New clutch master and slave cylinders -Fuel tank cleaned and rust treated (inside), painted (outside) -New aftermarket inline fuel pump -Brake calipers rebuilt (front and rear) -New brake pads and rotors (rear), new pads (front) -New rear shocks Front suspension and steering (2024): -New front struts, ball joints, bushings -Inner and outer tie rod ends -Cleaned and painted related steering/suspension parts -Front end alignment Emission control solenoids (rats nest) removed: -Remaining vacuum lines replaced and routed properly -EGR and check valves left in place -Vacuum advance timing connected properly -Kept the parts for this well organized (have a full set of pictures taken during disassembly, vacuum lines were all replaced prior to removal). -Can be reinstalled Oil metering pump modified (2025): -2-stroke oil reservoir installed (cold start fluid reservoir removed for this, and is included if wanted) -Engine oil passage to metering pump blocked off (used set screw, can be removed) -Pipe fitting added to receive 2-stroke oil from the reservoir -Replaced oil metering lines to the carb Miscellaneous: -Have removed the emissions air pump (the thermal reactor is not present in the exhaust system). Still have the air pump and air control valve if interested -Modern bluetooth stereo receiver -Original stock radio stack included Bads: -It did see a couple winters and does have some rust spots on the rocker panels and wheel well lower corners -Some dents and scratches -Rear wiper motor does not work and is missing the motor cover part inside -Rear window pistons do not hold the window up -Drivers seat is somewhat worn -Passenger side top windshield trim strip is off. Replacement part is included -Passenger side body trim piece is off (there is a dent there). Replacement part included -Runs a bit rough when cold, but smooths out completely when it warms up (engine still performs very well)
