Personal Health Care Assistant

Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated young Healthcare Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a happy disposition, be healthy and willing to join in the fun of their client's care. Must be willing to work specific hours as follows: MONDAY and WEDNESDAY 10:30am-1:00pm THUR/FRI/SAT/SUN 7:30pm-9:30pm FRIDAY and SATURDAY 8:00am to noon or, 3pm. TWO overnights (evenings negotiable) from 9:30pm to 7:30am, at overnight rate. Non-smoking/scent environment 20-26 hrs per week + Two overnight shifts per week Responsibilities: - Must be comfortable with bathing, condom catheters, suppositories and dressing client. - Assist with transfers or overhead lifts - Perform light housekeeping duties such as laundry and cleaning clients room. - Be competent in driving a wheelchair van and capable of maneuvering an electric wheelchair. - Assist with exercise programs - Participate in fun board and card games - Be completely reliable Requirements: - RCA/HCA certificate or prior experience in a healthcare role - Must be reliable, friendly, patient and a fast learner. - Current First Aid and Clean Drivers License This is a fun and active position offering valuable experience in the healthcare field.
