Apprentice Security Technician Part-time

Overview We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented part-time Security Technician apprentice to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining security systems that protect our clients' assets and ensure their safety. You will work closely with various stakeholders to assess security needs and develop tailored solutions. The ideal candidate will possess a willingness to learn and grow. Responsibilities •Design and implement security systems including access control, surveillance cameras, and alarm systems. •Collaborate with clients to assess their security needs and recommend appropriate solutions. •Utilize hand tools and power tools for the installation of security equipment. •Conduct regular maintenance checks on installed systems to detect any issues or malfunctions. •Provide technical support and troubleshooting for clients regarding their security systems. •Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations in all installations and maintenance activities. •Document system designs, installations, and maintenance procedures for future reference. Skills •Ability to obtain BC Security Alarm Installer under supervision License •A technical mindset and ability to adapt as technology changes. •Some familiarity with both hand tools and power tools. •Basic knowledge of computers. •Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to detect issues quickly and implement effective solutions.
